Multicath2 Up

Multicath2 UP is an XRO polyurethane central venous catheter introduced with the Seldinger technique. It consists of 2 lumens, completely separated according to the total length of the catheter. Each lumen leads to a separate point at the distal end of the catheter. At the proximal end, the lumens of the catheter are connected to extension tubes of different lengths. Each extension tube contains a differently colored hub and the ends are marked “Distal” and “Proximal” to easily identify different infusion lines.

Multicath2 Up comes in a hard blister pack and includes:

• 1 radiopaque polyurethane catheter (with fixing wings and smooth tip)
• 1 safe needle (Seldisafe) 18G, 70mm to prevent needle injuries
• 1 scalpel
• 1 BLS valve (Blood Less System) on Seldisafe to limit blood loss and air embolism
• 1 adapter for pressure transducer
• 1 teflon coated “J” nitinol guide wire
• 1 dilator 8.5 Fr/length: 100mm
• 2 caps
• 1 5 ml syringe
