Leaderflex 22 G – 2 Fr

Leaderflex is a radiopaque polyurethane catheter with fixing wings and an integrated extension tube 4.4 cm long (except codes 1212.20/205: 9.8 cm long). When supplied with a straight guidewire, Leaderflex is suitable for a variety of venous and arterial applications in adults and children. Especially:

• Central venous catheterization in children (jugular, subclavian, femoral)
• Arterial catheterization in children (code: 1212.04/06)
• Peripheral venous catheterization (midline) in adults and children

J References with Nitinol guidewire (1212.062/082) are specified for CVC application only.

Leaderflex used as midline is an alternative to short I.V. For patients requiring intravenous therapy for more than 5 days, the cannula improves the quality of patient care: short I.V. There is no need for repeated venipunctures. The cannula provides less risk of chemical and mechanical phlebitis because Leaderflex is made of flexible material and can be placed over the antecubital fossa (better stabilization of the catheter, higher blood flow rate in the vessel).
