AQUACEL® EXTRA™ Wound Dressing

AQUACEL® EXTRA™ dressing is an advanced wound care product consisting of two layers of Hydrofiber® Technology sewn together. It is nine times stronger and has% 39 greater absorbency than the original AQUACEL® dressing.

It is specifically designed for the management of moderately to highly exuding wounds and can be used for the same indications as other products of the AQUACEL® series.

Advanced Structure and Technology

AQUACEL® EXTRA™ dressing has a reinforced two-dimensional fiber structure. Although these fibers are produced from the same base material as Hydrofiber® Technology, they do not form a gel when in contact with liquid, thus maintaining their structural integrity and providing extra durability. This feature also helps remove the cover more easily.

Wound dressings with Hydrofiber® Technology developed by Convatec gel when in contact with liquid, trapping exudate and harmful components. This feature adapts to the wound bed and creates an optimal wound care environment.
