Premistar 1 Fr Catheter

It is a short or medium-term peripherally placed radiopaque polyurethane catheter used for parenteral nutrition and drug administration in very low weight (1 kg and below) premature babies and newborns.

It is designed to help reduce catheter-related bloodstream infections thanks to its antimicrobial structure impregnated with Rifampicin (antibiotic) and Miconazole (antifungal). Premistar offers effective protection for up to 30 days and has been developed specifically for use in neonatal intensive care units.

Codes 6261.20 and 6261.203 have fixation wings and breakable needle introducer. Codes 6261.206 and 6261.306 do not have an introducer and have a pink connector for standard IV cannula connection.
